We are very proud of all 'our children' and how they achieve and develop through play within our nursery class environment.

During a recent LEA inspection Ofsted inspectors described the nursery as 'Outstanding', this is the highest praise that can be given and we are proud of this achievement.

Our nursery is part of Harwich Community Primary School, we share outdoor facilities with the Reception Class.

We have two daily sessions and can cater for 52 children.

am: 9:00 - 11:30

pm: 12:45 - 15:15

We currently have vacancies in our afternoon sessions, so please if you live in the Harwich, Dovercourt area or surrounding villages, and have a child age 3 or above call into or telephone Harwich Community Primary School & Nursery and register for a free place.

Entrance to the nursery is via the main Primary School reception.

Take a look around:

We hope you enjoy exploring our site and viewing all the fun activities that take place within our classroom to extend the children's learning, making the early years as fun and informative as we can, meeting the needs of all.

         EVERY CHILD MATTERS

We believe that the children who enter are setting are entitled to 'Good Quality' experiences.

Children in our setting are provided with the opportunity to enjoy and succeed getting the most out of the 'Here and Now',

We provide the opportunity for the children to stay healthy and safe, in our caring and rewarding environment.

The economic welfare of the children and their families is an important part of our practise and access to support and outside agencies is available.

We support our children in making a positive contribution to society by taking and active part in Community engagements, and events.

Exploration and investigation takes place in

many areas of our nursery. The children are

encouraged to explore, predict and investigate.

Ask questions about why things happen and how

           things work.
